Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

New cosplay acounts on Cure and WorldCosplay.net!

I finally got around to joining Cure, the huge Japanese cosplay community website. For a long time it was only in Japanese so I didn't sign up, then my costume collection grew so exponentially that I got tired just THINKING about adding all those costumes to a new community O_O.

But I was asked to help support a new cosplay website called WorldCosplay.net, made by the same organizers as Cure. It promotes social interactions between cosplayers from around the world and has a sleek simple setup. I made an account on WorldCosplay.net which you can find here.

Since I was uploading photos anyway, I also joined Cure tonight! Here is my Cure Cosplay account.

Obviously both accounts are brand new and don't hold many uploads yet, but I will continue to add to them. I encourage other cosplayers to check out both websites for great cosplays and photos from around the world and signing up as well.

I'll be posting my Cosplay Summary 2011 before the end of the month. Till then, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
