I was asked a little while ago to do this interview with Myana, regarding how I made my Lulu costume. Many thanks for choosing me for this line of articles. Anyone who's ever been interested in my general construction process, this is a great detailed insight to it. Hopefully this will help others wanting to get into cosplay but don't know where to start. Mainly, you begin with an obsession for a design/character.... sounds corny, but that love motivates you and keeps you going even when you're completely frustrated or stumped during a costume making project. We (meaning cosplayers) all know what that moment feels like, when you just fucked up something big, or what you had planned on doing completely fails. It's terrible. But as long as you look at the reference design and remember how much you love it, you can pass that hurdle and try again. I'm experiencing those feelings right now and it's really exciting! Can't wait to see the finished product come together.

Nice article.
I'd like to try making a costume in time for NY Comicon '10.
I've got the time, but I'm not quite sure where to begin (other than drooling over the source images I've collected). Reading your interview was helpful
i remember i made a lenalee costume once and i accidentally sewed the decorations on the wrong side of the shirt...I really sucked at sewing xD
but then i worked really hard and i finally got it right...after wasting a bunch of cloth
Congratz on the article and keep up the great work.
