Sheryl Nome cosplay, from the anime "Macross Frontier". I made this costume based on Sheryl's concert outfit in episode 6. The dress has over 20 yards of fabric and chiffon. I also styled the wig, made the hair piece containing hand painted roses, as well as the earring.
I used this costume at the Grand International Cosplay Ball in London this November for my stage performance. The over dress is removable via Velcro, and underneath I wore the Lion Opening outfit, which I changed into 1/3 into singing the song "Diamond Crevasse".

This is beautiful. I like it a lot. Though, it looks expensive. When I cosplayed as Sheryl Nome, I used what I had on hand. It was something less expensive. I noticed an episode when Sheryl wore booty shorts and a tank, or something casual like that. So, I chose to wear my pink short and tank top set. I also draped my black and white zebra blanket around my shoulders because I remembered that Sheryl also had a blanket draped around her shoulders. The key was not to drain my parents' pockets, or mine, because of a $50 wig plus a $100,000 cosplay outfit.
