I am very fond of Macross Plus, and Sharon Apple has to be one of my all-time favorite anime characters. This cosplay is from the concert scene during the song "Idol Talk". Sharon Apple has multiple versions of herself through out the series, and I chose to portrait the "young" version of her.

This is a re-make of a costume I did several years ago. I lost parts of my original Sharon Apple costume and the wig got ruined during transport, so summer 2006 I remade the (very simple) outfit for a photoshoot (haha I know, also ages ago).

I made the little black dress and arm warmers out of this awesome stretchy wet look material. The hovering rings this time were neon orange tubing which are attached with clear string. I styled a Bob wig into Sharon's signature cut, and used pipe cleaners for the eyebrows. I was going to make her jewel but found the same button that I used the first time so I just painted it and used spirit gum to attach it to my forehead. The pumps are 5 inches tall with no front platform support, and a pain to walk in lol.

Macross Plus is one of my early favorites, and I've got the soundtracks for it. I like your cosplay of this particular Sharon Apple looks. Too bad Sharon is bent on destroying Myung in the miniseries. A cosplay of Lucy, Isamu's girlfreind/mission control, would also be nice.
