This is my first time working with Darshelle, but I have admired her photography work for a while and I knew she has the artistic vision and impeccable technical skills to create a top-notch image. And she totally killed it! I really love the dark yet whimsical atmosphere of this image, and that she chose this specific pose and expression. It's just fabulous for the character and costume.

The outfit was made in March 2013, and I binge-crafted it in about a week. Looking back, it was a crazy short time frame to get this done. A lot of people ask me about the gold designs - I chose to use heat transfer iron on vinyl because I could create all the intricate designs I wanted, and the shiny gold finish would look great on stage.
