This is the other costume I killed myself on for Katsucon 2013. I bought a 15 yard roll of this heavyweight dark red satin months ago and was just wanting for enough time to make this costume. Katsu was a perfect excuse to make a cupcake dress because I wanted something pretty to host the World Cosplay Summit in!

I made the templates for the butterflies and trim by cutting up the actual CLAMP artwork and sizing it up on the computer to myself. My friends Jessica and Megan helped me trace out the templates to make patterns, and together we transferred all the patterns onto fabric which I already cut and sewed into the skirts. Then I cut out all the trim and butterflies with a soldering tool, which took many days of breathing fumes and sore/burnt fingers. I also made the bodice, sleeves, hair pieces, choker, shoulder straps, petticoat... everything to complete this costume. I'll wear it again at Emerald City Comic Con next weekend! Yay!

Yaya,

Your cosplays are so beautiful. I really like how much thought you put into them and how each one is so unique and original yet true to the character you are portraying. I really like how you make each one with so much detail and how you have so much passion about cosplaying. Keep on being amazing!

How did you manage to make the details on the skirt... almost looks like stenciling work!?

May I ask if that was used in a sarcastic sense or not? C.C. has straight across bangs, not side bangs. I figured the "Self proclaimed queen of cosplay" woulds have that correct, even being the huge Code Geass fan I am I could not tell that she was dressed as C.C.

She does an amazing cosplay and all you do it bitch about the wig. So yeah she is called the 'queen of cosplay' because of all the hours she has spent in making her cosplay and the high quality craftsmanship. So even if you are a Code Geass fan I don't see you making costumes like this so stop bitching about a slight 'mistake'.
