Preview shot of a new costume I made for Ikkicon. I found this artwork piece by mangaka Carnelian and fell completely in love with the design!
[link]It's Sheryl Nome from Macross Frontier, but as an adorable pirate girl! I happened to have very similar over the knee lace up boots, as well as 2 yards of deep purple Madonna velvet and black leather on hand, so I decided to push back my other cosplay plans to make this costume.
It came together in about 3 days of work and I am pretty happy with it! The colors are so cute together and I love my pirate hat. I am taking off the bows on the coat because they cover up all the arrow trim I spent so long making and stitching on. Definitely plan to wear it again soon, and do a location photoshoot!
