I thought I would share a collage of in progress photos of my armor making experience, as Worbla is back in my store [link]! Celebrate all the Worbla!!!

My Facebook has a lot more detailed progress photos of this build: [link]

This is my full armor set & sword for Fiora - League of Legends. Made out of Worbla (sword made out of wood, hilt made of Worbla). This took over 4 weeks of learning a new technique and using a new material -it was a good and agonizing experience lol.
Most fun part: making the actual armor pieces!
Most pleasant surprise: Painting the pieces was actually therapeutic.
Most frustrating part: attaching the armor pieces to myself.
Most infuriating part: the sword. I suck at making props. Just suck at it.

You can purchase Worbla at my online store here: [link]

I learned how to use Worbla through Kamui Cosplay. Her video tutorials are here: [link]

Beautiful work! I'm preparing to tackle Worbla for my horses armor... I'm sure the most frustrating part will be attaching them to her :)

Great work you did here! I'm on a cosplay too (Katarina High command precisely) and I wanted to make the swords out of worbla, do you have any advice/tutos for me ? =D

Oh yea, the armor looks really good, yet you suck at making props. You are a great comedienne too. XD

Can anyone redirect me to her tutorial pics on facebook.  I couldn't locate w/in facebook.  Any clues?  I have to make my own costume because nothing will fit me (way too tiny).  Also I saw in summary you used Victoria Secrets bras but I don't see that on your page.  Help please, anyone.

Are you just wearing a push-up bra under this, or did you put some magic in the armor itself? I would love to be able to cosplay Fiora someday...She's definitely my main.

Now this is amazing. The fabrication process I think is the best part. It's that hands on process that is so much fun, and then that first look in the mirror, and BAM - you are Cernunnos. Well, at least part time.

Hello Yaya! Thank you so much for posting the progress pics of the armor for this costume. I have a costume in mind that requires a breastplate, and although I love how vinyl worked for it, I wouldn't mind trying this medium. You did such an excellent job on this, considering it was your first time, so it doesn't sound too impossible!

My only question is this: How /do/ you attach the armor pieces to yourself? That's my only drawback with using worbla/wonderflex/foam; the finished pieces look awesome but I have no idea how I'm supposed to wear them once they're done. Is that velcro I see on Fiora's breastplate? Would you recommend buckles? I tried snaps before on a vinyl breastplate, but they just ended up popping apart on me throughout the convention. :(  I welcome any input from other commentors as well!

Congratz your recent success, Yaya. Keep true to yourself~

that is bloody awesome. How much worbla did you use? Im thinking of buying some to make myself a darkflame Shyvana cosplay but I've never used Worbla - so just wondering how much you used so i can get a general idea? please and thank you!

It makes the finished product that much cooler when you can see the steps and work that went into every piece. Thanks for the insight. ^ ^

You say you suck at making props, but you clearly seem to be well above most costume designers I've seen. I imagine you would gain 1st place in any costume contest you entered with an outfit like this.

Browsing your galleries, can't help but notice your love for corsets. Which is fine really, you really have the kind of body which complements the corset and vice versa. For some they don't fit, but for you they fit like a hand to a glove.

The whole costume including the sword are beautiful. Though I can just imagine the fun of trying to figure out how to keep the pieces on without straps. :)
