Today is my last day in Tokyo - I woke up way too early as usual (damn time difference!) so have some more pics! It`s raining anyway so we will have to take it easy today...

Anyway, this is Omi Gibson as Julia and me as Faye Valentine, Cowboy Bebop.

First of all, I`ll just say that anyone looking for boobilicious Faye will not find her here. When I changed into the costume at the Toshimaen park and the adorable cross-playing changing room girl saw me, she immediately stopped me and let me know that I was wearing too little clothing. Especially the *breasts* had to go away lol. Naturally I had to come to Japan and cosplay in something too scandalous for the public *facepalm*. Thank Goodness they were able to compromise with me and let me walk around and take photos still. I just had to cover up with the red shirt and my long overcoat and flip my collar up so there was no more cleavage.

For an American con, I will re-style the costume to have more accurate T & A. lol

Construction info: My costume was uber rushed, I made in about a day right before I left for Japan. The top and shorts were easy enough to sew but I had the hardest time hunting for boots! Seems white boots are entirely out of style at the tail end of winter/beginning of spring. I did not have time to order them online either. I ended up using a pair of old knee boots I`ve had for years and creatively turned and tucked until it looked ok. *dies*

I also had a *fun* time styling and cutting the wig in the hotel bathroom the morning of the event, where I rigged a wighead out of a towel wrapped ice bucket. LOL. The original wig I got for Faye completely sucked and did not work, so I actually bought a wig in Tokyo (Thank Goodness for cosplay shops) and cut it here. Because I had the extra blah wig, I sewed both together for extra volume so I had super big hair XD. The hairline was made using the same technique as my Carmilla hairline. I was scared it wouldn`t dry in time so I got up at 6am to make it and hit it for a long while with the hairdryer too.
