I am such a huge Lodoss fan T_T.. why don't they make shows like that anymore?

This costume is actually NOT made by me. It was created by my friend Cat of sewinggoddess.com [link] as a commission for one of her customers. She asked me to pose in the costume for her portfolio.
The dress itself is made of silk and she painstakingly made and painted each piece that made up the neck collar. The whole costume was gorgeous and I felt honored to model in it.

The only things in the photo made by me were the plastic elf ears :)

Yaya, they don't make shows like that anymore because Japanese animation has become a cheap imitation of itself. I haven't liked a lot of this new crap that is on the shelf now... It all looks rushed, uninspired and predictable. I wish Naruto and Bleach would swirl down a blackhole... @_@

Where has the Tenchi, El-Hazard, Ranma's, Battle Angel, Bubblegum Crisis type stuff gone...? T_T

Lodoss is an amazing series. That was the perfect time period for anime releases. So much good stuff came out in that era.

Ah well.. now we are stuck with simple colored, simple animated boring stuff.

At least you rocked the outfit. ^_^
