It's been a while since I posted the Yakuza Bodypaint images - tonight I remembered that I had these indoor shots after seeing the artwork that Pin Up artist Nicole Brune is working on based on this look of mine.
These were the first shot we took after completing the bodypaint. The quality of these indoor photos are low due to not having a proper studio set up, hence we went outside (hiding me nekkidness as much as possible from the public eeep!) for the really nice location photos (see below).
But you can see the paint job and colors really well in these pics!
About the project: In October 2009 I was painted up by Master Body Painter Nick Wolfe! We've been friends for years but never had the chance to collaborate before this bodypaint. Nick suggested something Asian inspired and I blurted out "Yakuza tattoo!" and the idea for this theme was born!
Nick did the painting in 4 and a half hours, using Diamond FX paint. He looked up the kanjis for "Dragon Queen" and painted them as well. For those who don't take the time to read my Profile info, yes I am the model in these images. I did the face makeup and hair, inspired by traditional Japanese Geisha, and modernized. I also bought traditional Japanese hair pins, and the over kimono was made by me, originally for my XXXHolic cosplay. I love being able to re-use costume parts haha. The full gallery for this shoot is here on my website: [link]
Damn. How much time was taken for all the painting?
Somehow, the dragon makes me think of Dragon Ball, as one of the anime-manga symbols is the dragon holding one of the Dragon Balls. I like the detail of the wood branches, which I think has cherryblossoms-. The Butterfly Kimono is Utterlly Beautifull. I love Butterflies, and that Kimono is so awsome, with a classical touch.
